Are you still using foundation that throws your hormones out of balance?
Share
In my practice, I see women every day who suffer from fatigue, mood swings, bloating, or who feel that losing weight is no longer possible. They have often tried everything: different food, more exercise, supplements... but what they almost never consider is what they put on their skin every day. And that is exactly what I want to make you aware of.
Did you know that many regular foundations contain ingredients that can disrupt your hormonal balance?
What's really in your foundation?
Regular makeup often contains substances that are cheap and effective, but not at all friendly to your body. Think of:
- Parabens : These substances mimic estrogen and can lead to estrogen dominance, which in turn causes menstrual complaints, mood swings and weight gain.
- PEGs and silicones : provide smooth skin, but disrupt your skin's natural self-healing properties and often contain pollutants.
- Phthalates (hidden under 'fragrance') : linked to reduced fertility and hormonal imbalance.
-
Oxybenzone and triclosan : substances linked to thyroid problems and endocrine disruption.
These substances are absorbed by your skin every day. And your skin is not a shield, but a sponge. Especially on your face, where your skin is thinner, many of these substances end up in your system. Result? You feel listless, emotionally out of balance, or you no longer recognize yourself in the mirror.
What do I use myself? And why?
Because I guide women with hormonal complaints and am sensitive to imbalance myself, I pay extreme attention to what I use on my skin. That is why I have chosen the Fluid Foundation Excellent Skin from Baims for a long time.
Why?
- Because this foundation is free from hormone disrupting substances such as parabens, silicones, PEGs and synthetic fragrances.
- Because it is 100% natural and vegan, with more than half of the ingredients from organic farming.
- And because it nourishes, soothes and lets my skin breathe.
The variant that I use myself and often recommend to women with a light skin with a pink undertone, is the color 20 Nude Light. This foundation covers in a natural way, nourishes with sweet almond oil, jojoba, babaçu and salvia, and makes your skin not only look more beautiful, but also feel really healthier.
But isn't such a product much more expensive?
Yes, let's be honest. This foundation is more expensive than a standard drugstore brand. But I prefer to look at the long term. How much is your hormone balance worth? Your energy? Your stability? Your state of mind?
For me it's simple: what you put on your skin should support your health, not undermine it.
Pay attention to your hormone balance, also with make-up
If you notice that your hormones are out of balance, or that your body is 'not cooperating' as it used to, take a critical look at your care products. Your foundation can literally put a brake on your recovery. And that's a shame, because you deserve to feel like yourself again.
